Dr. Sinéad Spencer

Dr. Sinéad Spencer, a native of Limerick, began her career with a Physiotherapy degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2006. She worked in St. John’s Hospital before moving to the Mater University Hospital, Dublin, where she set-up a specialised physiotherapy service for breast cancer patients.

 After taking a year to travel, Sinéad returned to RCSI to study medicine. She graduated as valedictorian in 2017 with first-class honours and was awarded the Reuben Harvey Prize by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

Following her internship at the Mater University Hospital, Sinéad returned to Limerick for her General Practice training . She graduated in 2024, earning the Ellard Eppel Trophy for the top score nationally in the ICGP membership exams. 

Sinéad’s interests include preventative medicine, musculoskeletal injuries and women’s health. She has a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a certificate in palliative medicine. She also teaches clinical skills at the University of Limerick Graduate Entry Medical School.
