Winnie is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practice Nurse with over 30 years experience in delivering high-quality healthcare in the practice. With a passion for a holistic and lifestyle approach to patient care, Winnie works collaboratively with the GP’s, administration team, healthcare assistants and the wider community based multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Winnie provides a wide range of services with a special interest in women’s health, travel health, haemochromatosis, chronic disease management, immunisations, mental health and health promotion.
After completing general nurse training Winnie worked briefly in the hospital setting, and occupational health nursing in industry before settling into Practice Nursing in 1994. Having worked in a variety of practices she has gained much experience complemented with relevant postgraduate education including Postgraduate Diploma in Community & Practice Nursing, Nurse Prescribing, Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in General Practice, and Fundamental in Travel Health.
As a committed lifelong learner, Winnie stays up to date with ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest evidence-based practices in healthcare.
